Jonny May: Hi, I'm Jonny May. I'm a senior here at The Art Institute of Atlanta, and my experience with Web Standards is limited pretty much to this school and this program. However, the program has pretty well equipped me so that when I start a project that's the thinking from the get-go, is XHTML and CSS as separate entities and following Web Standards.
It's interesting, though, I have been working out of industry and am trying to get into industry, and I just interviewed at a very large corporation in the hospitality industry that has several brands of hotel and that sort of thing underneath it, and they are actually looking to get people on that are knowledgeable in Web Standards as well as accessibility, so that they can actually increase their participation in the Web Standards and in accessibility standards as well, going forward. So apparently this corporation has not been following the standards, and yet recognizes the need for it and is looking to move in that direction.
